Press Release

The heroic Eritrean people had fought for 30 years not only for national sovereignty, but also for democracy, freedom, social and individual liberties and rights. However, some of the leaders of the liberation who had seized state power after independence, betrayed the Eritrean masses and liberation fighters and roped the country and people from the slightest human dignity, human rights and hope they have had fought for. Isayas and few of his generals turned the young nation to private fiefdom.

Forced labour and humiliation, arbitrary detention, disappearances, extra- judicial killings, absence of any judicial system, restricted movement, raping and enslaving of young women by military officials, human trafficking and money laundering ....etc are the order of the day in Eritrea. The Eritrean people, exhausted by more than 50 years of all types of alternately peacefully and violent resistance, has fallen helpless victim to the PFDJ mafia group.

Nevertheless, it has taken a long time for the international community to give some attention to the Eritrean plight. Yet, late than never, it is time for criminals in the PFDJ to stand before international justice.

Hereby the ENCDC call upon:-

Member states in the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva to ratify the fact finding commission report.

Member states in the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva to hand-over the case to the ICC with the recommendation to pursue the PFDJ criminals.

Member states in the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva to put effective political pressure on the authorities in the Sudan to stop handing over Eritrean Refugees against their will to the PFDJ human right abusers.

All Eritreans inside Eritrea and the Diaspora to stand united against the PFDJ and support the UN-COIE report.
